Description: Ive done some experiments in the last few months about expiring domains with PR to see if it is worth your while to find these expired and removed domains. My idea why I'd like to use expired domains could be the notion that old domains are popular than new domains, and to get quick PR. So I attempt to find deleted domains with PR that I can register. One characteristic of areas I was looking for was that the area still had a, and it was still listed in google. I wont be mentioning the actual domains here as I want to handle the outcome and stop folks from making backlinks to these domains. I registered about 4 domains, some have PR2 and PR3. Some have a few pages indexed, some have a few thousand. I also ordered a couple of new domains for my new projects. I discovered that google seldom visits these areas so I want to prime it but with some new backlinks. After producing some backlinks to these domains, two their PR was eventually lost by domains. Those two areas have only some pages indexed in google. In one site, used to do a 301 permanent direct to the brand new index page. That area maintained its PR. One crucial big difference this domain has set alongside the other two is that this domain has thousands of pages listed in google. In another domain, I did so a 301 and direct it to a brand new domain. The result is that the new domain got indexed more and quicker pages were indexed when compared with another new domain I listed at the same time frame. Nevertheless, PR was down seriously to 0. There is also a case where used to do a 301 redirect from a vintage deleted domain with PR and never got any benefit from it. In conclusion, there is still contradictory effects on whether getting deleted/expired areas. This dazzling linklicious comparison article has some commanding warnings for how to deal with this hypothesis. Some works, some won't. Nevertheless, what appear to work is that a. Old erase domains does include traffic from existing backlinks. If the old area has tons of backlinks, it still does produce some traffic. Other search-engines such as yahoo and msn don't seem to have an biases against expired/deleted domains..
